Operation Smile is a medical help organization free from politics and religion that today exists in almost 60 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

The organization performs free operations in developing countries on children and adults suffering from serious facial deformities, primarily cleft lip, jaw and palate.

Operation Smile is working long-term to build up competence and resources of their country programs through building and run permanent clinics and in addition to surgery also offer eg dentistry, nutrition care and the opportunity to meet with a speech therapist. Today, there are 23 centers of this kind in 18 countries.
